Truck Repair: 1987 Chevy 5.7 350 TBI Silverado, canister purge valve, chevy 5 7

Chevy has been sitting for a while it was stalling. Changed ignition module,rotar,spark plugs,oxegen sensor,and oil sending unit also the Idle control valve. Started truck and the idle stays racing around 2200 RPM's. Did not come down after running truck upto 40 miles an hour also disconnected battery over 5 minutes. The ECM would not reset itself. Please help????

Hello George,
Sounds like a vacuum leak.
Check EGR valve to make sure it isn't sticking open.
Then check for other vacuum leaks at brake power booster, intake manifold gaskets, hoses, throttle body or carb base gasket.
Also check vacuum reservoir, and even the fuel vapor canister purge valve.
