Truck Repair: 1990 chevy k1500 park lights, chevy k1500, dash lights

looking for a little help I have 1990 chevy k1500 5.7L the other day started blowing the parklights fuses which also knocks out my dash lights, did some looking around at the wiring could not find anything visable then it stoped blowing fuses for acouple of days then started again replaced headlight switch and dimmer knob redid ground out next to the battery worked fine for about and hour and then started blowing fuses again not sure were to go next? any info would be great thanks!

Hi Gary,
Good to clean and check the ground, but a bad ground won't blow the fuse.
Takes a short or overload to blow the fuse.
I would guess you have a wire rubbed through somewhere and touching ground. Possibly even a bulb socket.
A bad headlight switch could also be the problem.
If it blows with just the parking lights on, that eliminates the headlight wires and dimmer switch.
