Truck Repair: 99 chevy suburban starting issues, chevy suburban, autozone

I have a 99 suburban with a 350.  I have an occational problem with starting the engine.  Today I went to start it and it starts (sort of) it actually fires off for maybe a second but then dies our as if the swithc was turned off, however, everything else in the circut is still on even the fule pump (I can still hear it run).  The problem is it is hard to make it happen again and if I wait about an hour or two the stupid thing will work.  HELP!

this sounds like it could be a ign. module check to make sure that it is bolted tightly .it will be on the bottom of the dist.also this part is only about 35.00 at autozone so might just pay to replace it anyway.since it doesn't always do it it might test ok if checked..let me know how this goes and thank you
