How do you change a front axle ujoint in a 2003 dodge Ram 2500?

well it sure has been a while on one of these... first after removing tire remove axel nut,then separate tie rod end,next unbolt upper and lower ball joints holding carrier on. now you should be able to give carrier a hard slap with a hammer and this should drop the carrier.after carrier drops,axle "should " slide out of carrier if not you might need a tool to bolt to carrier and push axle out. after carrier is removed you should be able to remove the axle for bench work.. if any problems just email me back should be here to help. thank
