Truck Repair: 95 Blazer will not start, chevy blazer, fuel pump

Question
I have a 95 chevy blazer with the V-6 engine. While driving the vehicle stalled out and would not start again.  After discovering that it gave no spark I tested the coil and determined it was good.  I then realized that the fuel pump was not coming on.  I replaced the fuel pump about a year and a half ago.  The person I bought the vehicle from said that he had to replace the fuel pump approximately once a year.  I found that the ECM Batt fuse was blown and replaced it.  The new fuse immediatly blew upon cranking indicating a short somewhere in the system.  I would appreciate any help you could give on where the short might be located.

Answer
Hi Tim,
Wow, I'd just have to guess.
You could test the fuel pump by jumping power to the fuel pump fuse, and listen for it to run.
If, by jumping power to it, the fuse blows, you may need a fuel pump, but I don't think a bad fuel pump would blow the ECM fuse.

Did the fuse blow when you turned the key to run, or when you turned it to crank?
The fuel pump should run when turned to run, but only for about three seconds.
You may need an ECM.
