Truck Repair: chev4*4, 4w, transfer case

I have a problem with my 4*4 truck 94chev k1500
it will not shift on the fly from 2w-4w at any given speed when i try it grinds gears untill i stop then i can put it in, when in 4w i can then take it out of 4w-2w on the fly at any speed do have id what the problem is

Hello Pete,
I have not had the problem, but I do know that there is a relay for a transfer case synchronizer. I would just immagine that is what it is for, and apparently yours isn't working.
I have just seen them in the wire diagrams, and really have no idea where either is.
