Truck Repair: FUEL PROBLEM, laser dot, unburned fuel

Question
I HAVE A 1992 L10 CUMMINS IN A L9000 FORD DUMP.
NOT ALWAYS BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I START THE TRUCK IT SMOKES PRETTY BAD. THE SMOKE IS  MORE WHITE IN COLOR ! NOT BLUE TYPICAL OF OIL BURN. ALSO THE SMOKE SMELLS STRONG WITH FUEL MAYBE UNBURNED FUEL LIKE ITS RUNNING RICH. DURING THIS TIME IT HAS A VERY BAD MISS I THINK ONLY ONE CYLINDER. IT DOES CLEAR UP AFTER FEW MINUTES OF RUN TIME AND NO MORE SMOKE. FEELS LIKE IT HAS A SLIGHT MISS THOU WHILE RUNNING FOR THE DAY. ALSO WHEN I PUT FUEL IN IT THE FUEL TANK HAS GOT A LOT OF SMOKE IN IT WHEN I TAKE THE CAP OFF. THE FUEL IS ALSO VERY WARM.LAST BUT LEAST IT USES A GALLON OF OIL PER 35 GAL OF FUEL. I SUSPECT A INJECTOR IS BLEEDING OFF. IT IS A MANUAL ENGINE NO ELECTRONICS. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP THANKS

Answer
Is it a STC engine??You can tell by it has a #10 oil line between #5 & #6 cyl in the rocker housing on the fuel pump side. You can cut the injectors out with a long 1/2" extension & a socket if it does not have brakes on it.STC injectors are like $275 a pop tho,so make sure you change the bad one.A regular top stop injector is alot cheaper.A heat gun could tell you also which one is bad.Not everyone has one of those, the one with the laser dot to check temperatures with.It will be alot colder(exhaust manifold temp) than the other cyls that are working correctly. The fuel being warm is not a problem since the unused fuel after running through the 180-200 degree cyl head is returned to the tank.
