Truck Repair: Fuel Filter 97 Silverado, throttle position sensor, chevy silverado

Question
I have a 1997 Chevy Silverado.  when  I'm driving sometimes (but not always) up a hill just before the od kicks in it acts like it's not getting gas.  the truck shakes.....well like it needs more gas.  I can step on the gas and kick it in and it does fine.  Till the next time.

I was thinking it might be the fuel filter........i have just had the fuel sensor replaced   can you give me any ideas and also tell me where the fuel filter is on this truck.

thanks
Renee

Answer
Hello Renee,
The fuel filter is in a little bracket bolter to the inner edge of the frame, just about under the drivers seat.
Sounds like that might be it.
A vacuum leak, or need of a tuneup could also be it.
If both of those are in good shape, I would want to test the fuel pressure while it is running, and prefferably when the problem is happening.

You had a fuel sensor replaced?? Wonder what that is, unless you mean throttle position sensor.
