Good morning Van,

I'm trying to help my father out with his farm truck. There is no power to the truck at all. It was running fine the other day. He keeps the truck plugged in and the batteries are new. It seems there is a short in the system. What do you think?

Hello Jeffrey,
Battery connections are the most likely cause, either at the battery, or the other end of the cables.
Also, make sure there is a ground between the engine block and the firewall.
If the lights work ok, but just the starter doesn't work, it could be a clutch or neutral start switch, or the ignition switch, or the starter solenoid.
