Question Just bought a 99 GMC 5.7L Suburban, engine light has come on 3 times and i have taken it to dealer for reset. The code is the same every time, sticking EGR valve. I could pay the money to replace it but i could also have partially block passages due to carbon. Is there any additive that could clean some of the buildup in my engine?

You could also remove it and clean it, which is a normal service proceedure.
It may be that the sticking is in the valve itself, and nothing to do with carbon deposits.
Keep in mind, though, that if it is deposits coming loose and sticking in there, and you find something to knock deposits loose, you will have a lot of sticking lights before it is all loose and gone.
I don't know of a product to do that.
