wont start just died on me

I had a Mack truck that did that and it was the emergency shutdown flap spring.

I have no idea what type of truck you have, what engine, what year, how you use it, past history, where you live, what the weather was when it quit, if you were on the road or back country,   Gee, I just have nothing to go on.
Have you checked your fuel filter?
If it happens to be a vehicle with electric shutoff, is the fuse blown?
