computer do this or failin tranny?please help n thnx.
Answer -
I didn't see where you have cleaned the egr valve, or looked for vacuum leaks.
The egr valve is like a big vacuum leak if it is dirty, and seating on carbon.
The brake booster is another possible vacuum leak.

i did a spraying of wd40 on the throttle body no change in idle.dont know where the egr is and
ive been doin a search on net for it.can you suggest some self help books or site.

Answer
At your public library, in the refference section, they have service manuals for that vehicle, as well as Chilton, Mitchell, and Motors manuals. You can make copies of the pages you want, but the library may not let you check the books out.
The EGR valve looks like three solenoids connected together in a little triangle, on the intake manifold usually, with a connection to the exhaust.
