Truck Repair: UP DATE QUESTION, thermastat, freon

Question
Van

Hi, I believe you told me to check my charging system, I did this, the gauge stated there is enough freon. Is it possible that the Heater
case blend door is closed. Would this be the cause, or perhaps the AC  thermastat.  How can I check this out, I still get constant hot air when
I turn the blower on

Thanks

Ken

Answer
Hi Ken,
Yes, it is possible that the blend door is the culprit.
To check, turn the A/C on and run for a bit, then open the hood and see if the freon line into the evaporator, and even the accumulator is cold, or even frosty.
If it is, and you are getting hot air, then the blend door is probably it, since all the air goes through the heater core anyway, before going through the evaporator.
