Truck Repair: steering wheel knock, dodge ram 1500, steering wheel

1998 dodge ram 1500 when you hit a bump you can feel knock in the steering wheel like something is loose. i cannot find no loose parts under front end this is a 4x4

Hi Bob,
Check the bolts that mount the steering gear to the frame.
Check the shock brackets also.
If you decide to go into the steering column, there used to be an expert on them.
