Truck Repair: 1989 jimmy, electric fuel pump, shrader valve

Question
my repair manual states that the fuse for electric fuel pump is in the engine compartment. i cannot locate it. i'm trying to avoid taking the tank off to see if the pump is broke and if so replace it. i hear no whirring when the key is on. no fuel is getting to the end of the lines .i replaced the filter. i'm sure that fuel is my problem. my question is,where can i locate the fuse? or do i have to take the tank off to test this pump?   1989 jimmy s15 2.8l.  thank you.

Answer
sorry i took so long to answer your question. the fuel pump does have a fuse. you can unplug the pump on the side of the tank and check for power. if there is no power you need to trace the 12 volt loss. if power is there and you dont here the pump or have gas come out the shrader valve on the intake, you probably need a fuel pump.
