Vintage Cars: fuel injectors, pb blaster, torque specs

Question
i have a question about fuel injectors . i am replacing the injectors on my 1979 280e with 228,000 miles on it . no record of them ever being replaced . is the anything i should know about before i attempt to tackle the job? i am waiting on the o rings to arrive , i have all the other parts injectors , plastic holders , seals and waiting on the o rings . how do i put the seals on the injectors ? it seems to be a very tight fit am i suppose to lube them up? any and all help would be highly appreciated. thanks a lot again Ron!

Answer
before you remove them make sure you clean out the injector holes with a vacuum, try to get area as clean as possible , spray a little PB blaster or similar around the base,  yes lube them slightly with gear oil and press fit , tighten to torque specs, I believe it is 7 ft puounds. Replace all the fuel lines while you are at it and renew the fuel clamps.  Use only fuel clamps as to nut cut into the hoses.
Pretty straight forward job, take your time and enjoy the ride!
