Vintage Cars: 1976 Mercedes 450 SLC no power to fuel pump, fuel pump relay, haynes manual

Question
Ron,
I have a 1976 450 SLC with only 38,000 miles and am preparing the vehicle for sale.  Recently I replaced the fuel pump and the car ran showroom new for about 10 days then it would not start.  I assumed that there was not fuel getting to the engine as I did not replace the fuel filter.  I just changed the fuel filter with OEM equipment and the problem is that I am not getting power to the fuel pump as I have checked this with a volt meter.  I am not able to locate the fuse or relay as the fuse plate is written in German and the Haynes Manual that I have does not specify the relay location.  Can you point me in the right direction or do you have other recommendations?  Thank you in advance.  Joe

Answer
the fuel pump relay in located , on passenger side of car, footwell area  remove the under dash panel, with dash panel removed, look above the fuse box there will be a long black rectangle relay, this is your fuel pump relay . If it has been replaced may be silver

Have you checked all the fuses ??
