QUESTION: Sorry it is a 1984. I f I shut it down and restart in less then 3 to 4 min it will start right up any longer and it won't. it tries but just turns over and won't start. After a few more min. I try turning it over and it takes a few turns but it will fianally start. Do you think it might be the fuel pressure lossens up in the fuel line?  No gas smell and no smoke

Answer
yes it is possible , rest pressure needs to stay up , if it lowers , ususaly defective fuel pump check valve, leaking cold start injector or faulty system pressure regulator.
I would start by checking cold start injector and thermo time switch, remove from manifold, presurize system , check for leaks.IF OK may be at the fuel pump check valve

Airflow sensor plate could also be the issue,
Was this a sudden onset or gradual onset ?
