Vintage Cars: Serial number plates, model a ford club, serial number plate

Question
I read your answer to a previous question re: re-registering with DMV a vintage car with a title but no "serial number plate".  Your answer was to locate a someone who reproduces serial number plates; stamp them and install on vehicle.  Years ago I remember seeing such reproduction serial number plates advertised in antique car and parts magazines.  Now I can't seem to find them.
My question:  Can you steer me toward finding such reproduced serial number plates; specifically for an Model A Ford.  Thanks

Answer
The best source for items of this nature are the car clubs for the model and make of car you're working with, in this case, a Model A Ford club. Another possible source (I haven't looked) would be some of the catalogs dedicated to Model As, such as Mac's or others.

Generally, this is done by someone within the club to fill a need of their own (this has been the case in my experience anyway), and then when word gets out that they've reproduced the plates, people will beat a path to their doors clamoring for more of them!
