Vintage Cars: 1984 380SL, wheel wells, best bet

I am looking at a nice looking 84 380SL with about 115K miles.  What snakes should I be aware of?

floor board rust and interior wheel wells and trunk rust, pull up mats and look.
Other than that a good service history is a must.  These ol gals do much better with good preventive maintenance

look for smoke at start up. should have good power and even idle.
Nice thing about the 84 is it should have double row timing chain.

best bet take it to a mercedes mechanic and give it a look over.  worth the 75 -100$ it will take.
