Vintage Cars: Car grille, car grille, chryslers

Question
I have a grille that I know is vintage but I cannot figure out  what it's off of.  It has a captain wheel in the center.

Answer
I'd say there's a 99% chance you have a grille from a 1955 or 1956 Packard Clipper.  The "captain's wheel" logo was used all over the car, not just the grille.  The Clipper was Packard's mid-priced model, designed to compete with the cheaper Buicks and Chryslers of the day.
