Vintage Cars: HELP ......particular coupe from 1940-41 ?, miracle on 34th st movie, miracle on 34th st

Hi, I hope you can help, but it's a tough one:  what is the make and year of the car used in the final scenes of Miracle on 34th St movie (1946).  I think it's a 1940, coupe,  I want to find one and restore it but I need to know what it really was.  THNX !!!  Arpod

I've seen the movie numerous times, and I know exactly which scene you're talking about.  I don't have the movie on tape or DVD, so I can't play it and check for sure, but I always thought the car was an Oldsmobile.  I also can't find any image of it on Google, so I'm afraid I can't be certain as to which car it is.  If you REALLY want to know what it is, find an image of the front of the car (download an image of the final scene to me off a DVD, perhaps), send it to me and I'll identify it for you.
