Vintage Cars: origianl purchase, vehicle identification number, jury duty

Question
ive been trying to find an original purchase order invoice from the dealership from 1967 ive only been able to find that the car came from california. was wondering if you could tell me how i could get one for my car thank you

Answer
My apologies for taking so long to respond.  Between jury duty and my mother being rushed to the hospital, I haven't been near a computer for a week.  There are only two sources for such paperwork: the original purchaser of the car, or the dealer that sold the car new.  If you don't have access to either, then you'd need to be able to do an online search with the cars vehicle identification number (VIN).  Problem is, only 17-digit VINs are searchable at this time, and they didn't go into effect until 1979.  Your 1967 has a 13-digit VIN, and there's no way to search it online.
