Vintage Cars: vin location on a 51 chevy pk, chevrolet truck, hinges

I just purchased a 1951 Chevrolet truck. I have never purchased a vehicle this old in age. I have looked all over for some sort of vin plate but could not find one. Please help if possible. Sincerely, Shannon

The VIN  plate should be on the drivers door frame between the hinges.  Visible when the drivers door is open all the way.

It also may be on a tag on the firewall under the hood.

the frame should have the VIN stamped on it, usually on the drivers side under about where the seat is or near the front by the engine.
