Vintage Cars: seat belt installation, factory seat belts, seat belt installation

Hi Don:  I'm restoring a '67 LeMans convertible and want to install seat belts. I would appreciate any information about proper installation. ie. how do I find the exact spot to mount the belts.

In 67 factory seat belts were fairly common, and chances are you will find that there are factory mounting points for the seat belts (no shoulder harness at this point) already in the floorboard.  

This would consist of a reinforcement plate with a threaded part for the bolt to go into.  

Ames Performance sells reproduction seat belt kits for GTO's that work just find for the Lemans/Tempest.
