Answer
NADAGuides.com offers values for nearly all collector and classic cars, and puts your car at approx. $7500.  Compared to what any one car actually sells for on the open market, I've found that NADA values are optimistically high; you might be able to use them to establish an insurance value, but you'd be hard-pressed to find someone that would actually pay that amount.  If you look on eBay, you'll find a '56 Clipper 2-door hardtop in decent shape that's been bid to $3,000, and a really nice '55 2-door hardtop at $5600.  Hardtops always bring more money than sedans, but you should still keep an eye on '55/'56 Clippers on sites like eBay to see what they are actually selling for.  The two model years are very close in value, with the '56 being the last TRUE Packard sometimes bringing a little more.

These are among my favorite cars, as I think Packard did a great job of restyling and re-engineering the old body style.  And the ride of that torsion-bar suspension: everyone should be so lucky to experience it!
