Jeff, do you know how many 1964 Mercury Monterey 2 door hardtop breezeway models were built at the factory with air conditioning

The only data I can find is that a total of 59,918 Breezeways (2 and 4-doors) were built for '64.  Manufacturers before 1980 rarely kept track of the kind of info you're looking for, but it may be out there.  You'll need to search websites devoted to Mercurys (usually sponsored by car clubs- try doing a search for "Merc/Pac").  I do know this: the Breezeway sedan was always more popular than the 2-door, and the very nature of the car meant few were built with A/C.  They were popular here in the Northeast for several reasons (less need for A/C, the rear window was protected from snow and ice, etc...), and I've ridden in a few.  What a wonderful flow of fresh air!  If you have a '64 Breezeway 2-door with A/C, I'd bet good money that it's one of few ever built.
