Vintage Cars: 1928 Chev VIN, classic vehicles, chevrolets

Hi, I have what I beleive is a 1928 Chev National AB. The build and line no. tag is still in the firewall however I can't find the VIN number. The car was last registered in 1958 as per the license plate. Any ideas what I might do for a number. Is it also stamped on the frame somewhere?
