Vintage Cars: need specs, mercury montclair, mercury products

Question
was recently given a 1955 mercury montclair 4dr  by a good friend who could not complete the restoration on this car due to illness.now Im a machinist by trade but not a very well experienced machanic thats a different ballpark,but I do need some help I need to know the specifications of this car or can u tell me where I can research this information,or are there any mercury parts distributors in my area ,I live in Los Angeles county can u help???

For parts, check the classified ads on hemmings.com.  You can also pick up their monthly magazine, Hemmings Motors News, at any good news stand. For the specs, I'd start with this website: http://www.classiccar.com/forums/  They have a question-and-answer forum for Ford products, and a lot of the questions deal with Mercury products.
