95 Grand Cherokee Specs

Jeep began producing the Grand Cherokee in 1992 and originally intended for it to replace the Cherokee but later decided to keep both lines available because of growing SUV sales. The 1995 Grand Cherokee came in Limited, SE, and Laredo editions, as well as the new limited-production Orvis Edition.


According to Jeeporvis.com, Jeep built only 10,020 of the Orvis Edition Grand Cherokee in its first production year. All of the 1995 Orvis Edition Grand Cherokees were moss green and their interiors featured tan seats with green inserts. A 4.0L V6 engine, QuadraTrac four-wheel drive and UpCountry Suspension Group were standard in the Orvis Edition.

  • The 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee was 179 inches long, 70.9 inches wide and 64.7 inches high, with a wheel base of 105.9 inches, a ground clearance of 8 inches and a curb weight of 3,674 lbs.

Engine

  • The baseline engine in the 1995 Grand Cherokee was a 4-liter V6 with 190hp, a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. and a maximum payload of 1,150 lbs. A 5.2-liter V8 engine was available as an option. It was standard for all editions to be four-wheel drive, but the SE, Laredo and Limited editions were available in rear-wheel drive.
