GCW equals the weight of a loaded F-150 plus the weight of a fully loaded trailer. Ford also insists the gross combined weight rating (GCWR) not be exceeded. GCWR is the maximum allowable weight of the vehicle, trailer, cargo and passengers the vehicle can handle, without risking engine damage or brake failure. The GCW must never exceed the GCWR. This information can be found on the Safety Compliance Certification Label, attached to the door frame or edge on the driver's side.
