Towing your Chrysler PT Cruiser is not a difficult task to complete the right way. Your safety and the safety of the other drivers on the road should be your number one concern when you are towing your PT Cruiser. This whole process will take you only twenty minutes to complete the correct and safe way. Once you are finished doing this task, you will be able to use this tow method on just about any other vehicle.
Pull the front of the PT Cruiser onto the trailer. Set the wheel locks that are on the tow trailer and secure the front wheels. The owners manual for the trailer will have the instructions for the wheel locks.
Connect one of the tow straps to the wheel axle on the front right side by the hook on the end of that strap. Pull the other end of that strap to the left side of the trailer and connect the hook on that end to the trailer at the left side anchor point.
Connect one of the tow straps to the wheel axle on the front left side by the hook on the end of that strap. Pull the other end of that strap to the right side of the trailer and connect the hook on that end to the trailer at the right side anchor point.
Pull the end of the tow strap that goes through the connector on the strap to tighten the straps. Make sure that you pull the strap hard to get all of the slack out of the strap. Do this to both of the straps.
Place the trailer brake lights on the trunk of the PT Cruiser and connect them to the power source on the towing vehicle. The owners manual for the trailer will have instructions for this process. Place the PT Cruiser in neutral gear.
