Providence Rated Among Top Five U.S. Cities with Worst Drivers

Recently, a report released by Allstate Insurance listed the city of Providence, Rhode Island, as the fifth worst city in the United States when it comes to the worst drivers.
Historically, Providence has been rated on the "worst drivers" list over the last few years. In 2014, we ranked five. In 2013, we were ranked the third worst city for drivers in the United States. In 2012, Providence was ranked number four. So, essentially, for three straight years the city has made it to the top five list nationwide for having the worst drivers – a dubious distinction indeed! The annual report ranks the 200 largest cities in the United States. The main factor in the study is the frequency of a car accident. According to the study, the average driver in Providence will get into a crash every five years.
