Recent Deaths in Motorcycle Crashes

On August 7, a serious motorcycle accident in Litchfield, Connecticut, resulted in the death of an elderly motorcycle rider. The 63-year-old died at a local hospital after being involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident.
The man was on Route 22, West Street, riding his motorcycle, when an SUV driven by a 61-year-old male collided with his motorcycle. Upon impact, the man was thrown from his bike and sustained injuries so severe he needed to be immediately airlifted to a local hospital where doctors worked to save his life. Doctors were unable to save him and he died at the hospital.

The driver of the SUV was not injured in the accident.

At this point it is not clear as to what exactly happened and who was at fault for causing the accident. Police are currently investigating, but it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were involved.

Another recent motorcycle accident in Connecticut ended in a fatality. And a string of other accidents have left motorcyclists injured.

The fatal accident happened last month in Ridgefield on Danbury Road. A man from New Fairfield, was killed on July 19 when the accident happened around 7 p.m. The man collided with a vehicle driven by 80-year-old woman. Both individuals were taken to the hospital and treated. Evan survived and was released, but the man later died.
