Southern California needs to have safer drivers. According to Allstate Insurance Company’s annual “Best Drivers Report,” the most unsafe drivers may be found in Southern part of the State. The report determined the country’s 200 largest cities in terms of car-collision frequency.
Southern California needs to have safer drivers. According to Allstate Insurance Company’s annual “Best Drivers Report,” the most unsafe drivers may be found in Southern part of the State. The report determined the country’s 200 largest cities in terms of car-collision frequency.

The study analyzed the likelihood of California drivers’ likelihood to get involved in a car crash. Unfortunately, according to the company’s analysis, some cities in the Southern California did not fare well.

In the report, here is how Southern California cities were ranked:

• Lancaster – 54th
• San Bernardino – 67th
• Palmdale – 80th
• Fontana – 81st
• Ontario – 86th
• Oxnard – 95th
• Thousand Oaks – 99th
• Rancho Cucamonga – 101st
• Orange – 104th
• Moreno Valley – 106th
• Huntington Beach – 111st
• Riverside – 113rd
• Santa Clarita – 124th
• Long Beach – 134th
• Anaheim – 139th
• Pomona – 153rd
• Corona – 157th
• Irvine – 160th
• Garden Grove – 164th
• Torrance – 165th

The list may serve as a wakeup call for all the Southern California drivers to take it easy while on road and to take all safety measures in order to prevent any untoward traffic accident. Of course, being part of the lower portion of the “Best Drivers Report” list is something not to be proud of; however, it may be improved by learning proper safety driving tips and executing it.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), California drivers may become more responsible and risk-free motorists if they follow the following advices:

• Reduce speed. Drivers must always abide by the implemented speed limits in a particular area in order to avoid any traffic collision.
• Do not tail gate. Motorists are advised to leave extra distance between their vehicles and cars in front of them to give them additional time to respond to any traffic situation.
• Do not be a distracted driver. It is unlawful for drivers in California to use their mobile phones while driving to avoid getting involved in tragic car crashes.
• Turn on headlights. It is highly-advisable for drivers to never forget to turn on their car’s headlights when driving at night and when it is raining.
• Do not drink and drive. It is imperative for any driver not to get behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol because it results in impairment of driving skills and competencies
