ERIK JOHNSON

Having spent a bunch of time in 300s over the past couple of years, I can say that you definitely know that this sucker is longer. You can feel the tail wag a little bit during freeway cruising, but you shouldn't care. This is strictly a livery car, and you should leave this one to the airport valets, limo companies, and corporate courtesy car services. You want to ride in the rear seat anyway, where the extra legroom and longer wheelbase ensure that you'll have one smooth and comfortable ride.

TOM ADAMS

On the fender, there's a HEMI badge. Under the hood there's a Hemi engine. Being a fan of the original motor, I am unmoved by this new engine. I guess nothing could live up to the history and hype of this name. It drives well enough: decent acceleration, good steering, and adequate brakes. For a big car, it handles well. The driver's position lacks overt luxury, but all the basic controls are present. Using the Nav system is a bit tedious—it looks like a touch screen but it's actually controlled by a tiny joystick.

The rear seat is the real focal point of this car. There's a lot of comfort and amenities here, almost like flying business class. Lots of room to spread out and work or watch a movie. There's no pampering, like an S-class, just plenty of space to work or relax. This will make a good upscale taxi or downscale limo.
