How to Install a Billet Grill on a Chevy

You can install a Billet grill on your Chevy right from your home garage, using a few tools that can be purchased from any auto parts store. A Billet grill is a grill that has side-by-side slats that allow air and water to enter and exit the front of the car, while still protecting the radiator from damage by flying debris. Sometimes you may need to replace your Billet grill due to damage from an accident. Other times a grill just becomes old and faded-looking and you may wish to upgrade to an aftermarket grill to give your Chevy a customized look. In either case, this is an easy installation that takes just about a half hour of your time to complete. This procedure begins after you have already removed the old grill.

Things You'll Need

  • Billet grill
  • Socket and ratchet set
  • Pop up the hood of your Chevy and prop it up with the safety bar.

  • Hold the Billet grill to the front of the car and lean into it to hold it in place.

  • Put the bolts into the holes on the Billet grill and tighten with a socket and ratchet. Lower the hood of the car.
