Changing the oil of a Toyota Previa is a challenging, but not impossible task. Because the oil tank is located on the underside of the car on the passenger side, it would be helpful to jack the van. It is likewise helpful to remove the oil cap under the driver's seat to air the engine out, which will ultimately increase the drainage productivity.
Slide under the van with an oil-collecting pan. Position the pan directly under the oil pan nut, an easily identifiable screw.
Remove the oil pan nut, using a 14 millimeter wrench. Drain the oil for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Replace the oil pan nut.
Remove the oil filter, located directly above the cross beam of the vehicle. This is a round, cylinder-like object that can be loosened using only your hands. Replace the old oil filter with a new one.
Refill the engine oil, using the oil inlet under the driver's seat.
