Ford’s keyless entry system on the Ford Expedition allows for entry to the vehicle without keys. The system has a five digit master code for entry via the keypad, which you cannot change; however, the system does allow for you to input a customer, personal code. Many people do this for ease of remembrance. Once you program the personal code into the system, you can unlock the Expedition with either the factory code or the personal one.
Enter the five digit factory code into the keypad, located on the driver door.
Press the “1 * 2” button within five seconds of completing step one.
Enter your own personal code, making sure to enter the five digits quickly. If the system acknowledges your new code, the locks on the Expedition will cycle once. If the locks do not cycle, repeat steps one through three.
