The Mitsubishi Eclipse is still one of the highest selling sport coupes since its creation in 1990. No matter the year or body style you own, the steps used to change out a blown electrical fuse are the same, although fuse locations may differ. Change a fuse yourself in just minutes.
Turn off your car before you replace the blown fuse. Check your owner's manual to find the location of the fuse you're replacing.
Find one fuse box is under the dashboard on the driver's side and the other in the engine compartment near the battery, also on the driver's side. Open the fuse box and find the fuse you need listed on the inside cover. For example, you'll find the fuse for your lights in the engine compartment fuse box.
Remove the fuse by pulling it straight out. Check the fuse for a burnt or melted wire, an indication the fuse is no longer good.
Push a replacement fuse of the same rating into the slot. In this example, the lights in a Mitsubishi Eclipse uses a 10 amp fuse.
Close the fuse box and restart your car. Test out the new fuse to verify it works.
