How to Avoid Overheating With a Car Heater

Chances are you or someone you know has experienced an overheating car. Without a doubt, being stranded on the side of the road with your car hood open and smoke drifting out, is an embarrassing inconvenience. Luckily, I found a temporary solution to help you get to your destination without overheating.

Things You'll Need

  • Car heater
  • Automobile
  • When you notice your car's temperature gauge rising, your car is on the verge of overheating and you should pull over and turn your engine off.

  • However, if you must arrive at your destination, a mechanic preferably, crank up the heater on full blast as this will cool the engine.

  • Crack a few windows open to alleviate the temperature inside your car. It's bad enough you're on the brink of overheating and there's no point baking in your car with the windows rolled up.

  • Drive slower and notice the temperature gauge go down. Have a mechanic check the coolant in the radiator, your car hoses and your thermostat.
