Modern BMWs come with connectivity options that let you merge your cell phone with the vehicle's internal media source. This means that your phone's songs, contacts and messages are imported into the BWM. You can wire your cell phone to the BMW in a few simple steps.
Start your BMW's engine. After starting, the car will automatically be in pairing mode for two minutes, during which you can connect your cell phone.
Enter "Settings" and the "Connection" menus in your Bluetooth enabled phone (the exact file names might differ depending on the exact type of phone, but the pathway should be similar). Tap, or click, on "search for devices."
Select the ID which starts with BMW. When you do this your phone will automatically pair with the media console in your BMW.
Look at the radio display. It should indicate that the process was successful.
