How to Enable the TV in a Nissan Pathfinder

During a long road trip, passengers in the back seats of your Nissan Pathfinder may grow weary of conversation, or disinterested in reading books or in playing games to pass the time. If this happens, they can enjoy watching videos on the flip-down LCD TV screen mounted on the interior roof of the vehicle. Videos will not appear in the front display while the Pathfinder is in driving mode, as a safety precaution meant to avoid distracting the driver.

  • Turn the ignition to the "ACC" or the "On" position.

  • Move the shift lever into "Park" and activate the parking brake.

  • Flip down the LCD screen mounted on the interior roof.

  • Press the "Power" button on the audio system control panel.

  • Insert a DVD, label-side up, into the DVD slot. The DVD will automatically start playing on both displays. If you take the car out of "Park," video will stop playing on the front seat display, and will only appear on the flip-down screen for passengers in the rear seats.

  • Press the "Pause" button on the control panel, or on the remote control unit, to pause playback, and press the "Play" button to resume playback. Press the "Skip/Forward" button to skip ahead by chapters, and press the "Skip/Rewind" button to skip backwards by chapters. Press the "Stop" button to stop playing the DVD.
