How to Override the Navigation in a Tundra

The Toyota Tundra truck has an available option of a navigation system. This navigation system is integrated into the center of the dash inside and is built-in to the audio system. Navigation systems give drivers peace of mind when driving to unknown locations, guiding with turn-by-turn directions and onscreen maps. Instances arise where the driver may know a faster route to the location, and he may choose to override the system and drive a different route.

  • Start the Tundra and ensure the navigation system is turned "On."

  • Press the "Menu" hard key located on the right side of the navigation system.

  • Select "Suspend Guidance" located as the first option in the main menu. The navigation has been suspended until the driver chooses the "Resume Guidance" option from the same location on the main menu.
