When purchasing a new Ford Escape, customers have the option of purchasing an integrated Navigation system complete with DVD player. The Navigation system assists drivers in finding the fastest route to their destination, providing turn-by-turn directions. The DVD player assists riders in a different way: helping them to stay entertained during long trips. Insert the DVD into the CD player slot located on the upper portion of the navigation system.
Place the car in Park to play audio and video. Only the audio will play if the vehicle is not in Park. This is a safety feature where the DVD will not play if the vehicle is in motion. The DVD will begin automatically.
Press the "Media" button on the system if the DVD is already in the player.
Select the "CD/DVD" tab from the touchscreen display. The DVD will play automatically if the vehicle is in Park.
