The Xplod brand of aftermarket in-car stereos come programmed to make beeping sounds with each button press and when the stereo is switched on or off. This can be annoying if you prefer to keep your stereo silent while you make song selections or tune the radio. Switching off the beep on your Sony Xplod stereo is uncomplicated and will only take a few seconds.
Press and hold the "Select" button until the "Setup" display appears on the screen.
Repeatedly press "Select" until "BEEP" appears on the screen.
Rotate the dial until "OFF" appears.
Press and hold the "Select" button. The "Setup" menu will disappear and the stereo will no longer beep.
