Toyota has a line of vehicles for every demographic. Over the years the Japanese automaker has produced SUVs, pickup trucks, minivans, sedans and station wagons. The stereo system in each category of vehicle is of a varied configuration. A Camry is the subject vehicle here, but the removal procedures are similar to those of the other vehicles that Toyota manufactures.
Lift the hood of the Toyota and disconnect the grounding cable from the negative battery terminal with the 10mm wrench.
Pull out the ashtray from the dashboard. Grab the bottom of the plastic trim panel that surrounds the climate control knobs and the factory stereo, and pull the panel from the dashboard.
Remove the 10mm bolt screws from the corners of the stereo mounting bracket with a 10mm socket and drive.
Pull the factory stereo from the stereo mounting dock to access the wiring connected to the back of the stereo. Pull the stereo wiring from the back of the stereo to completely free the unit from the Toyota.
