My 2005 BMW CD Player Won't Eject

CD players have become nearly standard features on cars all around the world, and this includes most BMW models. The 2005 versions of BMW cars offer a stock CD player that allows you to switch from disc to radio with just a push of a button. If your CD won't eject from the car's system, you can easily remove it with a number of troubleshooting steps that will not harm the player or the disc.

  • Turn your key in the ignition to the "ACC' position and press and hold the Eject button on the player for up to to three minutes. This might work to force the disc out as the sequence continues over and over.

  • Hold the Eject button as you power the player on and off to attempt to force the disc out as the system turns itself on and off.

  • Press the Reset button on the face of the player and press Eject once the system resets. The reset may confuse the system into returning to its standard ejecting process, and the disc may be forced out.

  • Insert the tip of a blank disc into the player and attempt to lodge it under or over the stuck disc to push the stuck CD into the ejecting track. Do this while holding the eject button to remove the disc.
