Ford Taurus Keyless Entry Code Location

Ford introduced the Taurus in 1986 with great fanfare. The car was like no other Ford mid-sized car, with smooth, aerodynamic styling and a transverse front-mounted engine driving the front wheels. The Taurus was available with many convenience options, such as a keyless entry system. By entering a factory preset code on a keypad on the driver's door, the doors and trunk lid could be unlocked without using keys. The factory code can be obtained in one of three ways.

  • Open the glove compartment and locate the owner's wallet card in the owner's guide packet. This is where you will find the factory preset code.

  • Locate the computer module underneath the driver's side of the dashboard to the left of the steering column. Check the label on the plastic cover of the module for the factory preset code.

  • Take your Taurus to a Ford dealer, who will assist you in finding your factory keyless entry code.
