Your 2000 Jaguar S-Type comes equipped with a navigation system. With this system, you can get downloadable maps, points of interests and Bluetooth wireless technology. You should keep your navigation system updated yearly. By updating your system, you have access to the latest maps, directions and points of interest. You can purchase updates through the Navteq website and install them through the unit.
Open a Web browser on your computer. Visit the Navteq store (at www.navigation.com).
Select your vehicle’s make and year, using the menus on the list. The latest map update will display for your vehicle.
Click “Add to Cart” and “Checkout.” Enter your shipping and billing information. Pay for a disk with a credit card or debit card. Navteq will send an update to your mailing address in the form of a DVD.
Enter your vehicle. Start the ignition and turn on the navigation system. Eject the original disk in the unit and replace it with the new DVD. Your navigation system will automatically update to the new disk.
